As an ASQF member, we came across an interesting article on the website of the Arbeitskreis für Software-Qualität und -Fortbildung e.V. (ASQF) in early February, which we would like to recommend. Er befasst sich mit dem Thema
“How AI systems are expanding the toolkit for software architects and what that means in practice.”
The author, Dr. Sönke Magnussen, addresses the following points:
– Architecture is becoming smarter — and more complex
– The classic toolbox is expanding
– Hybrid systems require new ways of thinking
– Architectural work is becoming more dynamic and data-driven
– New roles and areas of responsibility
– The operation becomes part of the architecture
– AI as a targeted decision – not an end in itself
– Architecture as a place of responsibility
This article serves as a valuable supplement to the September issue of ASQF (Issue 74, September 2025), which focuses on the topic of “Software Architecture and Artificial Intelligence.”
